Now on Facebook

Reluctantly, I have made the plunge to add a Facebook page for my railroad. I figured it will be faster and easier to make quick updates and photos there if your looking for up to date information.  Just look up Wolf Valley Railroad or try the link in the left hand column…. Hopefully it works…………if only I knew what I was doing!!!! HA!

Any post I want to make a either longer than just a few lines or more details about a photo, I’ll come here. For me I find it hard to site and type up a message, I would rather be doing something else. I also have had a few people over the last few months ask me about the railroad to see if I was even still active. With this in mind I decided against everything I have to start a Facebook page. Not a fan of Facebook, ie: “Time Sucker” and I usually get on and get of in less than 5 minutes. Too much drama…. I can watch TV to get that!! LOL

I will respond to comments on FB as well so feel free. Tell me what you think.

Handlaid Yard Almost Completed

As of this morning All the track for my yard is built, in place and almost completely spiked down. I have about another 5-10 feet to spike and a couple joiner pieces to add in but less than two hours should finish it up. WOW!!!, I never thought it would take me this long to complete it. All my feeders are in place as well so all the work left will now be under the deck. Connecting all the feeder wires to the Bus line then install the Moles and wire them up, lots of hours left for sure.

I think I will get the East side of the yard done first as apposed to doing it all at once so I’m not doing the same thing for too long a period and get tired of it all and do nothing for a while. Besides that, if I have that side done I could at least operate on half of my yard while the other side is being completed…… at least this idea sounds good in my head 🙂

More updates soon!

See Ya

Just a bit of an update today folks.

The track has now been replaced in Benjamin with the exceptions of the industrial area as the plan has not yet been finalized for that area. The town of Cole has been discussed, roughly laid out and the track is now being laid into the area. As well the handlaying has started again. Yes folks I finally feel like working on it again. As of this morning the first three Classification tracks are all spiked down and the rail has been soldered onto the PC ties for the next two. I have run out of PC ties so I will order those in the next few days. In the meantime I will get the wood ties glued down and get them spiked into place. After that there is only three more tracks to complete. Then begins the turnout controls and lots and lots of wiring…… did I mention Lots? 🙂
